Overview

Overview

Picture this, elephants strolling right past your jeep, their giant ears flapping. A pride of lions napping in the shade, bellies full after a hunt. The endless, golden savannah stretching out. Ready to switch off your screen and trade it for that real-life epicness? Kenya safari got your back. Now, the big question, is it an Amboseli safari or a Masai Mara safari? Both are awesome and that’s why we at bongo safari are offering the chance to visit the areas in one trip. so, let's break it down so you can know in advance what adventure awaits you.

Amboseli is all about two things – elephants galore, and jaw-dropping views of Mount Kilimanjaro. It's smaller than the Masai Mara, but boy, does it pack a punch. You'll be snapping pics non-stop. If you're an elephant lover, this place is a dream come true.

Think of the Masai Mara as the wildlife mecca of Kenya. It's huge, and it's got everything: the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo), wildebeests stampeding across the plains, you name it. If you want that classic safari experience with tons of animals, this is your spot. Oh, and if you time it right, you might catch the Great Migration – seriously mind-blowing.

Amboseli feels a bit more intimate, almost like you've got the park to yourself sometimes. Masai Mara can be busier, but that buzz has its own excitement. It's all down to what you prefer.

Hold your horses (or zebras) – doing it yourself is an option, but using a reputable tour company in Kenya such as Bongo safari could save you some serious stress. They know the lay of the land and can find you the right camps and guides to make your trip truly special.

Either way, Kenya's calling.  So get ready for a wild adventure you won't forget.
